We have been having a discussion on the term Adult/Child play. We are all understanding what it means in practise but are wondering at the actual wording. Does anyone know if the term 'adult/child play' came directly from Lili and if so where is the reference to it. Or is it just a language interpretation of the interaction and activity. We looked at page 19 in the FIELa where Lili describes' Adult/ child activities.' as well as 'Child self activities' We are discussing in terms of senior students who are actively engaging in Active Learning. Any thoughts would be welcome.

I don't know the answer to that question, but Lilli does talk a lot about the adult and child playing together. I was just looking at the book Educational Approaches which is a collection of her essays. There she discusses play-therapy and her approach to working with children in the 1960s and 1970s. I would like to hear more about what you are discussing and how it relates to older students.
