For the convenience of administrators and supervisors conducting evaluation of teachers using an Active Learning approach with students who are significantly developmentally delayed and functioning below the developmental age of four, we have developed this guide. We recognize your desire to give credit to your staff who work to educate themselves on best practice approaches for children. We are also aware that the educational practices may look very different from those that you are used to seeing and evaluating.
We hope you will use this document to guide you in what to look for when determining excellence for these students, a goal we know everyone wants to achieve.
